In today’s Doggles, we begin to burrow deeper into the personality of Yo-Yo, the Dobie pup. The influence of Bill Watterson is noticeable here, as I applied a technique he employed often to illustrate the imagination of Calvin.
At the time I started working on Doggles, I had begun using a brush pen. With my first box of Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens, I was enjoying the variety of mark-making provided by a brush without the mess and redundant ink-dipping. These are the same pens that I continue to use today.
